Tommy Drinnen is originally from Knoxville and a proud Central High School alumnus.
He completed his undergraduate and graduate studies from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas, where he earned masters’ degrees in education and Christian ministry.
Tommy’s career has been focused on serving young people, including as a teacher and coach for 13 years at high schools in Alabama and Memphis, the latter of which where he also was a youth minister. His passion for ministry took him to Ghana, West Africa, where he ministered for six years as the education and spiritual life director at Village of Hope Orphanage.
He is employed as director of Hope Central, a partnership of the Churches of Christ to serve families in Knoxville (separate from Emerald Youth Foundation), and through that role with Hope Central, he directs its JustLead program.
Tommy is honored and proud to partner with Emerald Youth Foundation to serve children and families in the Kingdom.
